Description:

A lone Portuguese Man o’ War invertebrate was seen at Cirkewwa this morning. Experienced diver Adrian Buttigieg saw the four-inch invertebrate, which is infamous for its painful sting, and took this picture to warn other readers about it. He said that another Portuguese Man o’ War was seen at the same place a year ago. Its sting is usually painful to humans and leaves red welts on the skin. It may also lead to an allergic reaction. In very rare cases, stings may also cause deaths.
