Description:

Fifteen people were killed while 35 others, including women and children, sustained injuries in a collision between a truck and a passenger van on the Indus Highway at Lakki Shah Saddar near Sehwan on Sunday. Jamshoro District Administrator Samiuddin Siddiqui said the truck (No C-3675), carrying devotees of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, collided with the passenger van (No JS-2623) coming from the opposite direction. As a result, 12 passengers died on the spot, while three others succumbed to their injuries in the Taluka Hospital, Sehwan, he said. Taluka Hospital Medical Superintendent Moinuddin Siddiqui said that out of the 15 deceased, seven were identified. The identity of the remaining dead could not be ascertained. The Jamshoro administrator said that out of the 35 injured, 25 were shifted to the Liaquat University Hospital, Jamshoro.
