Rescuers searched Thursday for residents still missing following a landslide that killed at least 23 people in northwest China, officials say. Guo Peicai, chief of Zizhou County, said rescuers are having difficulty finding supporting structures in the debris where victims could have room for survival. The landslide occurred early Wednesday at Shuanghuyu Village, crushing 25 houses and burying 44 people. Ten people were hospitalized with minor injuries while six others escaped injury, police said. Some 400 rescuers continue to search the site.
