Situation:

Heavy rain and flooding continues to be a problem along the coast of New England. A flood watch is effect for much of Massachusetts and more than 11,000 customers are without power across the state. NECN reporter John Moroney joins us from Winthrop, Massachusetts. NStar is reporting that about 8,258 are without power and National Grid a total of 3,623. Meteorologist Joe Joyce on Sunday is calling for some minor/moderate coastal flooding in the late morning high tide with some damaging wind in eastern Massachusetts early. Expect a general 3-6" of rain across eastern Massachusetts with lesser amounts on the Cape and in Western Valleys. Wind from the northeast 20-40 with highs in the 30s and lower 40s. A Lighter wind and rain in southern New England by afternoon. Sunday Night will have pockets of light to moderate rain continuing. Some may mix with wet snow in NW hills. Lows in the 30s with some wind at the coast.
