Description:

Hundreds of firefighters continue to battle a large brush fire that's damaged about 250 acres of woods. No injuries have been reported in the blaze. But police in the ocean county community say several neighborhoods near the blaze, have been evacuated due to heavy smoke in the area. It's not clear what sparked the fire, which was reported around 12:15 p.m. Firefighters have set back fires, which deprive the main fire of fuel, and plowed fire lines to help contain the blaze.
