Description:

Authorities are reporting numerous injuries - but no deaths - after a school bus carrying dozens of high school students crashed into a tree. The accident occurred Monday afternoon in the Gadsden County town of Chattahoochee, close to the Georgia border. Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Ken Ellis said that 41 students from Gadsden High School were on the bus when the driver lost control. He said many of the students were injured. The station reported that the driver and at least one student were airlifted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and other less seriously injured students were treated at facilities in or closer to Chattahoochee. Ellis said no other vehicles were involved, and the cause of the accident was under investigation.
