Description:

A United Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N519UA performing flight UA-472 from Sacramento,CA to Chicago O'Hare,IL (USA), was on approach to Chicago's runway 28R when the crew noticed a bird strike. The airplane continued for a safe landing on runway 28R. Following a postflight inspection the airplane could not perform the next planned flight, flight UA-578 to Boston,MA was cancelled as a result. A would be passenger on flight UA-578 reported, that a gate agent spoke to the ground crew and told passengers subsequently, that the airplane had suffered a bird strike and an engine needed to be inspected.
