SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt (Reuters) - Israeli and Palestinian leaders still believe they can reach a peace deal in a year, Washington's Middle East envoy said on Tuesday after talks in Egypt, despite a dispute over Jewish settlements.

Julia becomes hurricane in Atlantic as Igor churns

MIAMI (Reuters) - Tropical Storm Julia grew in the far eastern Atlantic into the fifth hurricane of the Atlantic season while Hurricane Igor weakened slightly but remained a dangerous Category 4 storm, forecasters said.

DUBAI (Reuters) - The data and voice recorders from a Boeing 747-400 plane operated by U.S. parcel delivery firm UPS that crashed in Dubai this month have been sent to the United States for analysis, the UAE state news agency said on Tuesday.
