Description:

Six builders from Penza have died of gas poisoning, said Igor Kuznetsov, head of the Kirov regional special investigation department of the Prosecutor General’s Office Investigation Committee (SKP). “A construction and assembly firm lived in lodgings in the 5-storeys house, Sofia Perovskya Street. All six men (from 20 to 45) died. The forensic medical examination will determine the final cause of the death. According to preliminary reports, they were asphyxiated by gas. The operation group clarifies the causes of gas leak,” Kuznetsov said. He noted that builders had stayed in Astrakhan under a contract signed with one of the construction firms that also hired an apartment for workers. The investigation is underway.
